The conference was attended by leading Russian researchers and practitioners in the field of vocational education and training (VET) and e-learning, representatives of higher and vocational education organizations working within the federal experimental sites “Digital didactics of vocational education and training”: managers, administrators, teachers, trainers, methodologists, developers of digital software products and tools.
The conference addressed a wide range of issues related to the organization of the digital education: from digital content and technologies that can be implemented in a digital educational environment to the global restructuring of the educational process based on modern digital products, e-learning platforms and augmented virtual reality.
Conference participants shared their experience in developing and using online courses, elements of the e-learning environment, discussed the problems of the regulatory framework for organizing e-learning processes and copyright for products designed for the functioning of the digital learning environment.
At the plenary session of the conference, Dr Natalia Lomovtseva (Pro-VET member), Director of the Institute for Lifelong Learning, member of the Scientific Council of the Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Education and Science, spoke about the teaching experience and research of the RSVPU in digital education of VET teachers and trainers and Pro-VET implementation. She presented the main report from the RSVPU titled “Digital transformation of vocational education and training: RSVPU studies”.
The presentation of Tatyana Sumina, assistant professor of Vocational Pedagogy and Psychology Department, during the session was devoted to the conditions and tools for developing the ecosystem of the digital education. Prof. Lyudmila Andryukhina (Pro-VET member), Scientific Secretary of the Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Education, took part in the online discussion about practical results the Research Centre in development of e-learning on the base of MOODLE LMS and tools for assessment.
The Conference “Digital Didactics of Vocational Education and Training”, held on March 18, 2020, was an important event in the development of the theory and practice of e-learning environment in VET. RSVPU made a certain input on promotion of Pro-VET concepts to VET managers, administrators, teachers, trainers, methodologists, developers of digital products and software.
