As we move towards the festive season, I thought it would be good to reflect on our work over the first year. And what a first year it has been. Talk about being busy – phew! After a full week in Novi Sad at our Kickoff meeting the whole Pro-VET team settled down and began to think about the mountain of work in front of us.
Slowly but surely the fog of confusion began to lift as we moved through the months surrounding the next two transnational meetings. Once we had finally created a baseline of understanding of where we were and where we needed to get to, the fun began in earnest. Practical training in designing VOOCs began in Jyväskylä, Finland, continuing in Tver, Russia.
In parallel with this work, we had a soul-searching period in which we examined our needs for physical resources. A shopping list of the equipment we decided was essential was delivered to the Executive Agency and subsequently approved for purchase. This was a huge step forward as it allowed us to begin the procurement process. This process is largely over although one or two items have still to arrive. It seems Santa Claus is a bit slow this year.
Looking at the Dissemination Reports that have been completed so far, it seems we have been very active in this arena, too. Pro-VET has featured in many other project events across our area of operations, including other project’s events.
All in all, the Pro-VET team has had a good, successful year and we are on track. Thanks to you all for your hard work and commitment – good job, team!
I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I’m already looking forward to our training that will take place next year as we look forward to launching our VOOCs for alpha testing at the end of January 2020.
